LPGA Superstar Morgan Pressel has teamed up with Panera Bread once again to help in the fight against breast cancer. Morgan will be working alongside Panera’s team of bakers at Boca Town Center Panera Bread from 8am-10am on Monday September 24th.  While there, Morgan will encourage customers to purchase the specialty bagels and mugs as well as compete in a putting contest to win great prizes.  The Kathryn Krickstein Pressel MAMMOVAN will be onsite providing mammograms and then travel to other Palm Beach County Panera Bread cafes throughout the month of October.

This kick off day is the start of the month-long October Go Pink Campaign - Panera Bread will donate 10% of all pink ribbon bagel sales to Boca Raton Regional Hospital to help aid in the fight against breast cancer.  Additionally Panera Bread will sell Go Pink travel mugs - a portion of proceeds will benefit the hospital as well.

WHERE: Panera Bread, Boca Town Center located at 5050 Town Center Circle, Boca Raton, FL 33486

“This kick off day is really special to us – we want the community to come and enjoy themselves while supporting this amazing cause,” said Nicky Tesser, Director of Marketing & Public Relations for Panera Bread. “We are very proud that all funds from this program will stay local.”

Proceeds from the Panera Bread Pink Bagel Campaign will benefit the Go Pink Challenge which is a community-based initiative that raises funds to support the Hospital’s Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute/Center for Breast Care. Gifts to the Go Pink Challenge help us to provide the latest technologies in the fight against breast cancer, right here in our community.

The foundation was started in order to further the fight against cancer, particularly breast cancer.  Morgan, a star player on the LPGA Tour, wanted to honor the memory of her mother, Kathryn Krickstein Pressel who passed away at an early age of breast cancer. Morgan devoted herself to try and fight this disease.  In just four years her efforts with the primary support of the St. Andrews Country Club members and her sponsors have raised over $1.8 million dollars to aid and support patient care and research in the fight against breast cancer. In 2010 the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Mammovan, under the direction of the Boca Raton Regional Hospital became a reality.  This mobile miracle travels throughout Palm Beach County providing affordable breast exams and health care to those who might not otherwise receive it.
