A Waiter Stood Up For a Kid With Down's Syndrome

It certainly feels wonderful when someone takes the time to stand up for someone else for no other reason other than to be a good person and 'do the right thing.'  I understand that sometimes people are rude by not controlling their kids in public places and should have more respect for others around them.  I would like to say that sometimes, people should be a little more understanding when their are other circumstances outside the parents control; moreover, having a little compassion would help as well...just like THIS server did in Texas. A woman named Kim Castillo lives in Houston and has a five-year-old son named Milo . . . who has Down's Syndrome.

Earlier this month, Kim, Milo, and the rest of the family went out to a restaurant called Laurenzo's.  Everyone at the table, including Milo, was talking . . . but Kim says no one was being loud.   (--They don't say exactly WHEN this happened or who else was there.)

But a party of four sitting near them complained to the waiter, Michael Garcia.  They asked to be moved to another seat and said, quote, "Special needs kids should be kept in special places."

Instead of moving them, Michael told the group that he was offended and WOULDN'T be serving them tonight.  They left without eating.
